Chris is a Wealth Manager for the firm. He is a CPA and received his Master’s in Business Administration from Bryan College. He has extensive accounting and tax experience in both the public and private sectors. Most recently prior to his acceptance to the Guardian Wealth team, Chris was Manager at one of the nation’s top 100 CPA firms providing tax advice and review services for large consolidated corporate groups and high net worth individuals. He also provided clients with audit defense at the federal and state levels and provided merger and acquisition tax planning. In the private sector, Chris acted as Senior Tax Analyst for a multi-billion-dollar health insurance company providing audit defense at the federal and state level and writing technical papers on complex tax positions. The extensive experience with complex tax scenarios and resulting impact to both businesses and individuals acquired by Chris over the past two decades is an asset to the firm’s crucial focus on tax planning within its comprehensive financial planning process. He holds a PFS (Personal Financial Specialist) awarded by the American Institute of CPAs, which may only be held by a CPA. He has also served as Adjunct Professor for Belhaven University providing instruction for general business, finance, and accounting classes at the upper undergraduate level, and financial analysis for MBAs.
